Jeff & Robin

Jeff and Robin were married a couple of weeks ago at Sunset Cliffs. It was a gorgeous day and a gorgeous setting for a wedding. My friend Marlo came to help me out for a few hours until Brian got off work :) The light was a little tricky in the middle of the day at the beach, but we worked it out and captured some beautiful images! 

Jeff and Robin as well as all of their friends were so much fun to be around. There wasn't a dull moment with this crowd. You know it's going to be a crazy party when the bridal party has a flip cup drinking match right after the ceremony and then brings you to the bar for a quick shot right before the grand entrance to the reception :)

Food Find Friday-Blood Orange Margarita

I made it one of my points on my 30 before 30 list to start my regular weekly blogging ideas. One of them being Food Find Friday. If you know me, you know that I am one of the pickiest eaters ever...of all time! You think that you have a friend that is a picky eater.....I'm pickier...guaranteed! :)

Now that I have a child I'm forcing myself to attempt to eat things here and there that I otherwise wouldn't to try and be a good example to her. So what these blogs are for is to show some new food that I find along the way, as well as some oldies that I love :) 

First up today is a recipe for a Blood Orange Margarita!!!

Not that this is a good example for my daughter, but it just happened to be something new that I've tried...ha! :)

Just this year I have been pretty much obsessed with the show Dexter on Showtime. This Sunday is the season premier and I wanted to try a recipe with blood oranges. While searching on google I came across this one.....they are delish!!!!

Here's what I used:

Here's what I did:

-Put some ice in the shaker

-Added 1/3 cup of Blood Orange Mix from Cost Plus World Market

-1/8 cup Lime Juice

-1/8 cup Triple Sec

-1/3 cup Silver Tequila

I don't personally like the rim of my glass with salt, but it's optional :)

This week's Color Theme Thursday is for my bestest friend, Lauren! 

She's not engaged yet, but she has mentioned before that when she does get married she would like green and brown to be her color palette.

Her and her boyfriend love the outdoors and anything woodsy. I thought it would be cute to incorporate trees, birds, and nests...love!!!

Jeff & Robin-Birthday Teaser :)

I usually wait until I have a full post done, but today is Robin's birthday so I wanted to surprise her just one more teaser....Happy Birthday Robin!!

Second Shooting-August 2010

I love second shooting! I try to second shoot whenever I am able to. It keeps shooting and practicing all the time!  I had the pleasure of shooting with a few new people this month. One of which was Marlo Yoshimoto I loved working with Marlo...we made a great team! She told me right from the start that she was super kick back and that I was allowed to shoot from whatever angles I wanted...and also to jump in and feel free to set up any images that I thought of, so this made it extra fun for me :)

The reception was held at the Bay View Restaurant at MCRD. It was such a pretty venue!!
Beautiful venue + gorgeous light + and a couple oh so in love = Awesome images!!



I started out the day by hangin with the guys while Marlo was finishing up pictures with the bride. This was a great group...they kept me laughing the entire time :)

Best Father/Daughter dance EVER! They started with "Butterfly Kisses" which immediately worries me because I get extremely choked up EVERY time I hear that song, but then they quickly moved in to "Ice Ice Baby"...it was Classic!!



Also the best money dance ever....They made her a crown, a sash, and her dress was covered in mula!
