Our Day Off

With Brian and I both working 2 jobs....days like this are few and far between. We had a full day off with nothing to do, but hang out as a family...and it was simply amazing!
We went downtown on Friday night to spend the night and wake up early to go to Sea World. On the way down our friend's Tim and Melissa asked if we wanted to make a pit stop at Extraordinary Desserts....um, yes please! I will never pass up good dessert. This place was amazing!!! A sit down restaurant that serves amazing desserts....I don't think it gets much better than that. I got this ice cream that was to die for....peanut butter-peanut brittle...OMG...so good!
The forecast the next day called for rain, but we decided to go ahead with our plans and just leave if the rain got too bad. Amazingly enough it only rained on us once, and we had a great time! Here are some pics from our day away :)

We started off the morning at our favorite restaurant, Busters, in SeaPort Village

Brian asked Maddie which boat she wanted :)

Maddie eats things completely backwards. For this meal she dipped her pancakes in ketchup and poured syrup all over her ham and eggs.
We borrowed a lens that we have been wanting from Bobby Earle....here Brian was testing it out. He has never used a prime before, so it took a little getting used to.

A little Cinderella before we left for Sea World

Melissa grabbed this one of us right before we stuffed our faces at Extraordinary Desserts :)

Kendyl- Senior- Part 2

My good friend Melissa @ melissa mcclure photography has introduced, Lightroom, a new editing program to me. I know all you photographers are thinking "new"? Yes, it's new to me...up until last week I was editing only using Photoshop :) I can't even believe that I have gone this long without Lightroom. It is awesome! Melissa edited the photo below while teaching me how to use the program :)

A cookbook passed on from her grandparents

Kendyl dreams of one day having her own bakery. I've never tried her baking, but amazing bakers run in her family, so I'm sure it's in her blood :)

Rocky The Zombie

My good friend, Amber, over at RockerByeBaby has hooked me up with a couple of different small business owners that needed product shots for their lines on Etsy . I shot a quick session with Maddie and Amber's boys this past weekend just to get a few images for Rocky to put up in her shop. It ended up that the only time we could do them was the middle of the day when the light is just awful, so we found a small spot of shade in my backyard, and did a quick 10 minutes session.

Hey Amber, I think we should video tape next time we do one of these to show everyone how insanely crazy it is when we do this...haha....it's pretty nuts when these 3 get together, and then when we throw trying to get them to model for the camera in the mix...it's just nutty! haha! We were deflinetely sweating when that 10 minutes was over :)

So here they are....the new kid designs from the wonderfully talented Rocky The Zombie
