Engagement Favs: Feb '08- Feb '09

I spent an hour or so last night creating a new engagement slideshow for my website. I uploaded it, went to make sure everything looked ok, and then realized that all of the pictures were turned upside down....ughhh! So, I called up yahoo customer service and spent another half an hour or so trying to undo what I had just done. The guy that helped me was very nice, but neither of us had any idea what I had done or how to fix it! We finally figured it out, and got the website back to how it was. Soooo, that was a big fat waste of time with nothing accomplished....so frustrating!

I decided that until I have a little more time to work on my website that I would just do a few posts here on my blog with my favorite pictures from each category for Feb 2008-Feb 2009. I'm going to start with engagement, so enjoy :)

Trying some stuff out

I was busy finishing up a couple sessions this week, and have been trying out some new editing. I love trying new ways of editing my photos.... Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I created a couple of new actions, and I took my first crack at designing my own textures for these photos. I was trying to get with a vintage-y feel.....let me know what you think :)

Albums

I wanted to have a chance to show you guys a couple of the smaller albums that I offer. One is my Coffee Table album and the other is my Guestbook album. Both albums are totally customizable. You can choose to have a leather cover or have a custom photo cover, you can choose to have the cover with text or without, you can have magazine style pages or layflat pages, and finally you can choose how many or how few pages you would like.
Here are some samples of the different options:

This is a 8.5x11 inch album with Custom Photo cover.

This is a 8.5x11 inch album with a Red Leather cover as well as text.

This is an 8.5x11 inch album with Magazine Style pages.

This is an 8.5x11 inch album with Layflat pages. This is what I use for all Guestbooks. I do my Guestbooks with layflat pages, so that when your guests are signing the book lays perfectly flat. The Layflat pages with have a small "gutter" in between the pages....not like the Magazine Style pages. The Layflat pages are also MUCH thicker than the Magazine Style.

They are almost like a thin cardboard weight.

These books are designed with empty spaces for your guests to sign in.

Dave & Shelley-Part 3

So, I just finished watching the third group on American Idol. I wasn't even excited about this group because all of my favorites (except for Anoop) have already gotten through in previous rounds, but I have to say there were quite a few good ones tonight. I would say there were 4 or 5 that I would be happy for.

Another exciting tid bit is that I got my house cleaned for the first time today. Cleaning my house has definitely taken a back seat now that I'm working 2 jobs. The last thing I want to be doing is cleaning when I have any free time, so we decided to hire someone to come in and give the house a scrub down once a month. It was amazing to be able to sit and edit photos while my house was being cleaned, and then to sit and watch Idol in a clean house felt even better!
