Mission:GIVE

Please scroll down :)

For those that have been reading my blog you already have heard about how I tragically lost my Gramp back in August. My grandpa, Dr. Billy D. Viele was hit and killed by a car a on August 1st, 2009

My grandpa lived is life to help others in need. Putting anyone and everyone ahead of himself. After his passing, I wanted to help give back in some way to honor the way that he lived his life. I wanted to tell the story about who he was and what he did, and get people together to help 2 great organizations that he loved.

We put together an annual program called Mission: GIVE in his honor.
Mission:GIVE helps give to 2 wonderful charities that were very important to him....The San Diego Blood Bank and Interfaith Community Services.

Mission:GIVE is set up like a walk-a-thon with no walking involved. You can choose to give blood to San Diego Blood Bank, sponsor a blood donor team by donating to Interfaith Community Services, or do BOTH!!!
All this can be done on our secure website www.MissionGIVEonline.org
We have also set up 2 locations with Blood Mobiles for your convienence:

INTERFAITH Community Services
Tuesday, November 3rd
9am-2pm

PALOMAR Hospital- parking lot
Wednesday, November 11th
10am-3pm

Please visit our site to find out more details, or email me with ANY questions regarding Mission:GIVE
You can also read a little bit more about my gramp on the site www.MissionGIVEonline.org

I want to encourage everyone to work hand in hand with friends and family to help those in our community that aren't able to help themselves. It is these small acts of kindness and giving that can do so much to help others around us in need.

If you are able to donate blood or give ANY amount to Interfaith Community Services you are doing such a wonderful thing for those who need it in our community.

Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart!!!!!

Color Theme Thursday!!

Introducing....Color Theme Thursday!
My friend Amber over at http://www.rockerbyebaby.com/ has this great blog where she has a theme everyday to help her keep up with blogging regularly. Friday is her "Favorites Friday" where she posts all of the cute punk rock stuff she finds in whatever color is the theme for that day.
So, I totally bit her idea :) I always wanted to post stuff that I find online that I think would be rad for brides, but I didn't want to just be randomly posting stuff all the time....so that is how Color Theme Thursday came to be.
Now bi-weekly I will be doing a Color Theme Thursday where I choose a color palette for inspiration, and post some great finds that I would like to share.
The items are not meant to all work together, but are just some ideas that might get your wheels turning about what you might enjoy at your own wedding.

If you have any ideas for color palettes for future Color Theme Thursdays please just leave a comment below, and I will do yours next :)
To kick it off I decided to go with my logo colors :) Hot Pink and Orange...yeah! I'm so excited :)

I've included the direct link to each item below....enjoy!

*Please note that I have never bought from any of these sellers....these are just items that I dig!

The Winzen Family

I know that they have patiently been waiting for more teasers, so here they are...enjoy!

You know what I hate...people with flawless skin. Thais is that person....look at her skin next to her daughters!

Thais, you have amazing skin....you are gorgeous, and I'm so jealous! :)

I LOVE this one. While I was taking pictures of mom and dad...I look over to find this moment between "B" and her grandpa...them just hangin out...talking.....priceless <3

Baby "N"

What a sweetheart baby "N" is. At only 7 weeks old he is wide awake and so aware.
This is the little guy I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that would not sleep for me and his mom! After about an hour we finally got him to take a short 3 minute snooze...just long enough to catch a few shots of him in beautiful baby slumber.
Here are a few more teasers for mom and dad...enjoy!

This was taken on his Daddy's old baby blanket....love!

Sadly, his Daddy lost his mom to breat cancer a few years ago. A friend of theirs made this bear out of one of her shirts. It was such a beatiful bear, and I'm so glad mommy thought to include it in a picture.

I love, love, love this one :)

Picture Day!

Maddie's first picture day was today. I was definitely more excited then she was, but she was pretty excited as well :)
It takes Maddie at least a half an hour to warm up to someone that she doesn't know, so I knew that a stranger trying to get her to smile was going to be a challenge. When Brian picked her up from school today, Maddie's teacher informed him that picture day went exactly as we had thought it would. She didn't smile.
Because we had a feeling it would turn out this way, I made sure that I got a shot of her smiling in her picture day outfit before she left for school. I even made a clip just to match her shirt, so her ensemble was extra special ;)
Here is a picture of my sweet baby on her first picture day!

Baby "D"-Part 1

I gave baby D's mommy and daddy a quick teaser last weekend, and now it's time for a full post...whoo hoo! This little guy was not into the picture taking that day, but you wouldn't even know it by seeing these pics....everything he does makes a cute image :) enjoy!
www.rockerbyebaby.com played a huge role in baby D's shoot. His uncle purchased a blanket and paci clip just for the session....and because Amber (rockerbyebaby) is so rad...she threw in an awesome onesie for the session too :)

omg...that mouth...aren't you in love?

With his uncle Kev

This is the onsie that rockerbyebaby made him and the paci clip too :)

This needs to be blown up on a huge canvas...k?k!
and the whole fam :)

Rob & Sara- Part 2

So, this week ending up being equally as crazy as last weekend. Maddie ended up having the flu, and had to stay home from school ALL week. The bummer part about having her in school already is that when she stays home....I stay home. When Brian would get home from his day job, I would have to go in to mine and work late at night. It was a rough week to say the least! I wasn't able to get as much edited as I would have like to, but I did manage to get a few more teasers done for these guys.
What was so great about their wedding was that everything was DIY, but didn't look that way. From the set up to the favors...everything was just....perfect. enjoy.

The ceremony took place on the front lawn of the home. The view was AMAZING...the light was PERFECT....I was in love!

I had never seen this before. Little umbrellas instead of baskets....SO cute!

live.laugh.love

I loved this. These umbrellas were hanging above the sweethearts table. Look at that view!!

Rob with his boys. The younger one discovered shortly before the ceremony that he had the wrong tux! Wrong color, wrong size, wrong everything! The closest tux shop was 30 minutes away! Everything worked out fine, but it was a scary there for a little bit :)
